We are an international gathering of musicians in celebration of music.
Oregon Festival Orchestra, Zvonimir Hacko, conductor
Each June and July, in addition to the festival's symphonic concerts, OMF offers a range of recitals, lectures, chamber music concerts and discussion groups. At the core of OMF's philosophy lies the idea that this is the place where serious artistic collaboration, growth and enrichment take place -- a place where local, national and international artists work intensely together and where accomplished musicians mentor the next generation of artists.
Music aficionados will be pleased to experience the work of outstanding soloists, conductors and ensembles from home and abroad, performing repertoire that includes not only the great classics but also lesser known masterworks. The Festival's artistic policy is unique in that it is driven by an artistic collective -- the Artistic Collegium -- which contributes to the shaping and offerings of the festival. At the helm of the Collegium is the Artistic Director whose vision guides the creative energies of the group. The festival's operation is governed and supported by a board of Oregonians as well as an international field leaders who bring a global outlook and relationships to the work of festival with local and regional musicians.
