An experienced manager with strong organizational and administrative skills with the background in arts management in particular music production, office operations, supervision of volunteers, artist hospitality, and marketing; ability to multi-task and coordinate the many activities of a festival office, organize staff, and promote/supervise ticket sales. Knowledge of and enthusiasm for classical music; good communication skills; high energy, creativity, integrity, professional presence and a sense of humor.
Plan, execute and supervise all operational functions of OMF; meet set goals; coordinate staff activity; work closely with the Managing Director in reaching operational goals of the office.
Reports to Managing Director; works closely and supervises OMF staff and when needed interacts with festival Artistic Director and artistic team.
Type of Contract
Contract employee with a lump sum pay for specified time period.

Orchestra Personnel Manager
Position: Recruit and manage orchestra personnel of resident orchestra(s). Personnel Manager reports to the General Manager; he/she performs traditional duties of orchestra personnel manager ensuring smooth and professional functioning of the ensemble’s personnel and serves as a liaison between musicians, conductors and administrative staff. Personnel Manager is specifically responsible for recruitment, engagement, contracting and management of musicians: implementation of personnel policies, execution and adherence to the regulations of the agreement between OMF and musicians, facilitating of communication between musicians and OMF’s management, oversight of service schedules.
This is a contract position; pay is competitive.
Qualifications: Understands and is well connected with the community players of the greater Portland area, the regional community orchestras, and the musicians of Northern Oregon in general. Has the ability to organize, manage, and complete multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with accuracy, timeliness, and enthusiasm. Communicates well and has some knowledge of orchestral repertoire.
