Oregon Music Festival seeks an enthusiastic, positive and experienced music production manager to join the OMF team. This is an independent contractor position with variable hours and a lump-sum remuneration. Duties begin June 18 and end upon the completion of the festival wrap-up (estimated for July 24 with orientation and planning meetings during the week of June 5-12).
The position works in close partnership with other team members including the General Manager, Festival Director and resident staff, and oversee all aspects of festival production. Specifically, Production Manager oversees and manages all aspects of OMF’s rehearsals and performances, the artists, ensembles, venues and other logistics associated with concert production. The position reports to OMF Operations Manager.
Experience in a festival setting is highly preferred, and the ability to work with distinguished musicians, orchestra members, agents, staff and associates is essential. A successful candidate will have at least three years of successful experience working in artistic operations with a professional musical organization or the equivalent and will possess strong organizational, interpersonal, supervisory, and communications skills.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY Management of all aspects of OMF event and concert production. Assists in other operational duties as needed.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Management and production of all aspects of OMF events (concerts, educational events, lectures, etc.)
Manages or oversees music library; works closely with the Music Librarian.
Tend to all aspects of guest artists engagement.
Manages/oversees ensemble personnel and works closely with the Personnel Managers of each ensemble.
Manages/oversees stage management; works closely with Stage Manager and crew.
Arranges/manages/oversees performance venues (the house) and rehearsal facilities.
Manages all aspects of ensemble scheduling.
Manages/oversees all production-related equipment needs.
Assist in the budgeting process related to operations/production.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 3 years of experience with performing arts organizations or arts-related entities of a metropolitan area; strong leadership, self-sufficiency and management skills; ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously; thorough knowledge of music industry and the arts; a reliable and professional individual; a person of initiative and integrity; possesses good people skills and ability to complete tasks on time and efficiently.
