Jetro Meira de Oliveira


Jetro Meira de Oliveira has been appointed the new Artistic Director/Principal Conductor of the Oregon Music Festival starting with the 2024 concert season. An artist with an international career, he has served as the artistic director and principal conductor for the UNASP Symphony Orchestra in Sao Paolo and the chamber chorus Officina Vocalis.​ He is the artistic director for the APO Philharmonic Orchestra of Brazil (OFAB) and UNAMUSI (UNASP International Academy of Music).

​Maestro de Oliveira received a DMA in Conducting and Musicology at the University of Illinois (2002) and an MMus in Conducting and Music History at Andrews University.

​His research interests focus on how people interact with music, thus, involving different fields of knowledge, such as musicology, education, sociology, psychology, and philosophy.

​Maestro de Oliveira continues to work with young musicians giving them the opportunity to perform significant concert repertory.
